You may drop your applications/paperwork off in the Human Services department or the drop box outside of the Government Service Center in Fergus Falls or the New York Mills Office or by mail. When visiting the Human Services offices, use these screening guidelines before you enter the building. Have you had/or currently have any of the following symptoms that you cannot attribute to another health condition:
- Fever (100.4 F or higher), or feeling feverish?
- A new cough?
- Shortness of breath?
- A new sore throat?
- New muscle aches?
- New headache?
- New loss of smell or taste?
- Congestion or runny nose?
- Nausea or vomiting?
If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, have come in close contact (within 6 feet) with someone who has a laboratory confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis, or that has self-isolated due to fever or symptoms of respiratory illness in the past 14 days, we encourage you to postpone your visit and contact the department by phone.
When you do visit our offices, please wear a face covering/mask. If you do not have one, we will provide you with one.

Our department’s mission is to provide an array of financial and social services to families and individuals to help maintain or enhance the quality of life for all persons served.
