The Theft Clinic is a behavioral based program for juveniles who have been involved with, accused of, or convicted of a theft offense. This program is an instructor lead course offered in a classroom-like setting with assessments completed in verbal and written form.
The program’s purpose/goal for each individual:
◦To take ownership for one’s actions/behavior as it relates to their offense;
◦To understand the cause, effect, and consequences of committing a theft offense;
◦Identify how their actions affect the people they stole from;
◦Learn that theft is an at-risk behavior that would continue to develop into an increased level of risk-taking behaviors that may have an increased level of consequences;
◦Identify how theft offenses may affect their future as well as their family.
