Otter Tail County Housing and Redevelopment Authority Board
The Otter Tail County Housing and Redevelopment Authority was established in 1973 to remedy the shortage of affordable housing in the county and to redevelop areas that may be in substandard condition and have a detrimental effect on neighboring properties.
The County Housing Authority Board of Commissioners is appointed by the Otter Tail County Board of Commissioners, who oversee the programs and operations. The County Housing Authority has a long-standing partnership with the City of Fergus Fall Housing and Redevelopment Authority to administer its programs.
The County HRA leverages its financial investment with funding partners including but not limited to Minnesota Housing, the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. We also work alongside many private and nonprofit organizations across the county and west central region. Programs include rental assistance for income eligible families and seniors, a scattered site affordable home program for income eligible households, down payment assistance, first time home buyer mortgage financing, and a variety of rehabilitation programs for homeowners, rental landlords, and businesses.
The mission of the Otter Tail County Housing and Redevelopment Authority is to provide safe, decent, and affordable housing opportunities and to work in partnership with county communities and townships to address their housing and redevelopment needs.
If you participate in one of the County HRA programs, all applications for assistance are to be returned to the Fergus Falls HRA Offices at 1151 Friberg Avenue in Fergus Falls. If you would like more information about the Fergus Falls HRA, click on this link: http://www.fergusfallshra.com
