The Otter Tail County Board of Commissioners meetings will be available for viewing via live stream at https://ottertailcountymn.us/livestream/ due to the health pandemic and declared emergency in accordance with Minn. Stat. Sec. 13D.021.
The county is divided into 5 districts with one commissioner from each district. Each commissioner is elected by the people in his/her district and serves 4-year terms.
This Board is governed by state statutes which require commissioners to meet at the county seat for the transaction of business on the 1st Tuesday after the 1st Monday in January each year. At its 1st session, they elect a chairperson and set regular County Board Meeting Dates for the entire year. Extra sessions are set as needed. The commissioners are responsible for examining and setting budgets, policies and numerous other county business.

The open forum is an opportunity to address the Otter Tail County Board of Commissioners regarding a county business item.
The open forum will be held 15 minutes prior to a regularly scheduled meeting. Requests to participate in the Open Forum will be on a first come, first served basis.
